What makes Austin service different

Austin treats brush and bulk as separate on-demand services. Tree limbs and yard material should not be mixed into a bulky-item appointment.

Accepted examples

Furniture, doors, prepared appliances, carpet, pallets, nail-free lumber, lawn equipment with fluids removed, and up to eight passenger tires without rims.

Not accepted

Household hazardous waste, household trash, mirrors or loose glass, brush, cardboard, auto bodies, and contractor or remodeling debris.

If collection falls on one of these holidays—or later in the same week—it moves one day later. Weekend holidays do not cause a slide.

One-day collection delay

The holiday route and all later routes that week move one day later.

  • New Year’s Day — Thursday, January 1
  • Thanksgiving Day — Thursday, November 26
  • Christmas Day — Friday, December 25
