Eligible Kansas City homes can schedule up to 15 items weighing less than 500 pounds. Weekly trash, unlimited recycling, holiday delays, and two fall leaf rounds use separate published schedules.
The combined weight must remain below 500 pounds.
Both services use the address's assigned weekday.

Kansas City provides free bulky collection to eligible single homes and apartment buildings with six or fewer units. List every item when booking because crews collect only the confirmed request.
Every separate piece must appear on the appointment request.

Kansas City fall leaf and brush collection
Two curbside rounds cover every service area in late 2026
Kansas City publishes separate South, North, and Central collection weeks. Place up to 20 paper sacks or properly tied branch bundles for the assigned round.
The second South round is November 16 to 20.
The second North round is November 30 to December 4.
The second Central round is December 14 to 18.
Branches must be three inches or less in diameter and four feet or less long.

Listed furniture, household goods, and eligible appliances can use a confirmed bulky appointment. Refrigerated appliances are collected by a separate truck. Paper leaf sacks and prepared branch bundles use the seasonal route.

Unlisted items, appointments over 15 pieces or 500 pounds, material set out before 3 p.m. on the prior day, and leaf material in plastic bags do not qualify.
