Use the complimentary collection before paying for removal
Prescott provides one complimentary bulk collection each calendar year for an eligible residential account. Request the appointment through Prescott Recycles or by phone, then build one organized pile that stays within the City's size and handling limits.
Additional material or another visit may require a paid disposal option.
Keep the pile compact and accessible from the street.
Separate or prepare heavy material so each piece stays within the handling limit.
The City can confirm the service date and whether a questionable item qualifies.
Setout and item preparation
Wait until the four business day setout window
Place the confirmed pile at the curb no earlier than four business days before the appointment and have it ready by 6 a.m. on collection day. Household furniture, bicycles, grills without propane, bagged yard debris, and properly prepared branches can qualify. Tires, propane tanks, concrete, dirt, batteries, oil, and hazardous waste cannot.
Do not leave the annual pickup pile outside weeks ahead of the appointment.
Collection can begin early on the confirmed day.
Bundle or contain yard material so it remains manageable for the crew.
Use the assigned address day for both recurring City services.

Prescott bulk collection questions
Does Prescott include a free bulk pickup?
Yes. The City currently describes one complimentary collection per calendar year for an eligible residential account. Arrange the appointment first and keep the pile within the published twelve foot length, four foot height, and individual item weight limits.
When can I place a Prescott bulk pile outside?
The pile may be placed at the curb no earlier than four business days before the confirmed appointment. It must be ready by 6 a.m. on collection day. Earlier setout can create a neighborhood nuisance and does not make the crew arrive sooner.
Will Prescott collect propane tanks or concrete?
No. Propane tanks, concrete, brick, stone, dirt, oil, batteries, tires, and household hazardous waste are outside this annual curbside collection. Use a current City disposal option that specifically accepts the material.
