Schedule your Phoenix bulk pickup
Use the City of Phoenix appointment tool before placing anything at the curb. Appointments can be made as late as three business days before collection and as far as one year ahead.

Use the right Phoenix disposal path
These common items do not belong in a normal bulk pile. Phoenix provides separate programs or drop off options for them.
Refrigerant appliances
City curbside pickup costs $25 for each refrigerator, freezer or air conditioner. For washers, dryers and other appliances without refrigerant, pickup costs $30 for up to five. Call 602-262-6251 to book; charges go on your City Services bill.
If you can haul it yourself, eligible City residential trash customers may drop off one refrigerant appliance free each year. Later units add a $20 environmental fee plus disposal charges. Ordinary appliances can count toward the monthly one ton allowance.

Eligible solid waste customers may schedule one household hazardous waste home collection free each calendar year. Have your City Services account number ready; available dates cover the next 30 days. If none appear, email hhwcollection@phoenix.gov.
Keep products in sealed, leakproof containers inside a box marked HHW. Set it beside the garage or front door by 7 a.m., never at the curb or on the sidewalk. Collection runs from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.; there is no exact arrival time.

Check these details before calling
- Confirm the appointment date in the email from Phoenix.
- Make sure the complete pile was ready by 5:30 a.m.
- Check the 10 cubic yard limit and five foot placement clearances.
- Remove tires, glass, concrete, hazardous waste, and refrigerant appliances.
- Photograph the pile and ask whether the route is active or the material was rejected.

- Monday through Friday, 5:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; Saturday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Closed Sundays and listed City holidays.
- Included disposal
- One load up to 2,000 pounds each calendar month for current, full service Phoenix residential trash customers. Some items carry separate fees.
- Bring with you
- Your current City Services bill and photo ID with a matching name or address. The account must not be delinquent.
- Disposal charges
- Eligible loads over one ton: $55 per extra ton. Other loads: $55 per ton, $40 minimum. An unsecured load adds $20.
Before loading your vehicle
- Keep the load covered until you enter. Required scale deposits are cash only; bring cash for heavy vehicles or trailers.
- Do not take household chemicals into the ordinary disposal load. Use the separate home collection described above.
- Christmas Eve hours are 6 a.m. to noon. Transfer station holiday closures differ from curbside collection.

Keep the pile at least 5 feet from water meters and other fixed objects.
Use the date confirmed by the city when you booked.
Limbs and trunks must also be less than 12 inches in diameter.

The appointment program is for oversized household waste and limited yard material that cannot fit in the regular container. The city applies size, weight, and material restrictions.
