Schedule Chandler bulk collection before setout
Eligible Chandler solid waste customers start with four free combined curbside bulk pickups or qualifying disposal center visits each year. Online requests require 7 to 14 days of notice.
Curbside pickups and qualifying center trash visits share the allowance.
The City describes that as approximately two standard pickup truck loads.
Every item must remain within the published handling limit.
Have both carts at the curb by 6 a.m. on their address route day.

Four combined bulk pickups or disposal visits start free
Chandler counts curbside bulk collections and qualifying trash visits to the Recycling Solid Waste Collection Center together. The first four combined uses in a calendar year are free for eligible City solid waste customers.
Choose any mix of curbside bulk pickups and qualifying center trash visits.
The online form sends the confirmed date by email within two business days.
That is approximately two standard pickup truck loads.
Prepare each item so the collection crew can handle it safely.
Placement and preparation
Wait for the date and list every item
Different trucks collect recyclable bulk and trash bulk, so Chandler requires a complete material list. A missed or incorrectly prepared collection still counts toward the annual allowance.
Do not place the material outside until the City has confirmed the collection date.
More than one truck may visit when the request contains different material types.
Use the front property line near the curb or sidewalk. Chandler does not collect bulk in alleys.
Call customer service to cancel, postpone, or modify the request.
Weekly carts and 2026 holidays
Black trash and blue recycling carts are collected weekly
Put both carts at the curb by 6 a.m. Chandler publishes exact holiday route changes instead of applying one rule to every City closure.
Friday, November 27 collection moves to Saturday, November 28.
Monday through Thursday routes remain on their regular days.
Routes remain normal for the other holidays listed on the 2026 City calendar.

Choose the correct collection path
Accepted examples
Furniture, flattened cardboard, separated metal items, washers, dryers, stoves, dishwashers, microwaves, properly prepared coolant appliances, electronics, tree trimmings, and securely boxed cactus can qualify. Chandler adds a $15 coolant removal fee for each applicable appliance.
Use another disposal option
Food, diapers, liquids, medical or hazardous waste, tires, auto parts, drywall, lumber, bricks, tile, concrete, pavers, rock, gravel, dirt, sod, and other construction or landscaping material do not qualify.

- Regular hours
- Thursday through Monday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Closed Tuesdays, Wednesdays and City holidays. Summer hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., from the Thursday after Memorial Day through the Sunday before Labor Day.
- Bring with you
- Photo ID and a current Chandler utility bill showing City trash service. Be the named customer or an approved account user.
- City trash customers
- The first four combined bulk pickups or qualifying center visits are included. Center loads up to 400 pounds qualify; heavier loads are charged at $70 per ton. Additional visits up to 400 pounds cost $14.
- Apartment and condo residents
- Bring a rent receipt or utility bill showing your Chandler address. Recycling is free; trash costs $20 per visit. Pay cash, with no bill larger than $20.
Special items and eligibility
- Refrigerant appliances add $15 each. Visits with only recycling or household hazardous waste do not use a trash visit.
- Household hazardous waste needs an appointment: 480-782-3510.
- No contractor or business loads, or material from neighboring cities or county islands.

Local limits before placement
The first four combined bulk pickups and qualifying center trash visits are free each year. Additional curbside bulk collection costs $43. A pile may not exceed 4 feet wide by 4 feet high by 16 feet long, and each item should weigh no more than 50 pounds.
Place approved material at the front property line within four feet of the curb or sidewalk no earlier than 24 hours before the confirmed date. Chandler does not collect bulk from an alley.

What makes Chandler service different
Chandler combines two services into one annual allowance: a curbside bulk pickup and a qualifying center trash visit both count as one use. Recycling only and household hazardous waste only loads do not count toward a trash visit.

Bulk collection uses its confirmed date
The cart holiday calendar does not replace a bulk confirmation. Keep the date in Chandler's email and call before 5 p.m. on the prior business day if it must change.
The collection center closes more often
The Recycling Solid Waste Collection Center closes on City observed holidays even when curbside trash and recycling continue normally.
