Start here for the recurring household collections residents use most often.
Garbage is collected weekly using a 30, 60, or 90-gallon cart (grey or green depending on provider). Service is provided by either Republic Services or Waste Management based on the service zone.
Recyclables are collected weekly in a 60-gallon cart (blue) and organic waste (food and green waste) in a 90-gallon cart (green). Accepted materials include glass, plastic, metal, and paper products.

How Stockton service works
Residents must call their assigned garbage company two weeks in advance to schedule an appointment: Republic Services at (209) 466-3604 or Waste Management at (209) 946-5711.
Stockton Clean Sweep
Start with the garbage company assigned to the address
Stockton divides residential service between Republic Services and Waste Management. The assigned company schedules the annual Clean Sweep appointment, so confirm the provider before calling and reserve about two weeks ahead.
Appointments are offered during the February through October program season.
Keep the pile about 3 feet high, 9 feet long, and 3 feet wide.
Passenger tires without rims may be included under the current rules.
Box or bag small household and green waste before collection.

Local limits before placement
Once per year at no charge between February and October; limit of 3 cubic yards (3′ high x 9′ long x 3′ wide) per appointment. Piles over 10 cubic yards will not be picked up.
Place items at the curb the evening before your scheduled pickup day. Items must be bagged or boxed (under 40 lbs each), and placed away from vehicles and obstacles.
