San Bernardino appointment guide
Reserve one of the two included bulky item pickups
San Bernardino residents with eligible Burrtec service may arrange two bulky item collections during the calendar year. Each appointment covers up to five approved items, so list everything when requesting service rather than adding unconfirmed material at the curb.
The allowance is tied to an eligible residential service account.
Burrtec can confirm whether each listed object qualifies for the same truck.
Call before the regular collection day or use the SB City Waste mobile application.
Move only the confirmed items to the curb for the scheduled collection date.
Choose the correct disposal path
Keep electronics and hazardous material out of the pile
Furniture, mattresses, appliances, tires, and some large household material may qualify after Burrtec confirms the appointment. Paint, batteries, oil, chemicals, and electronic waste use separate programs. Leaving those items in the bulky pile can prevent collection and create a safety problem for the crew.
Use the assigned service day for ordinary household garbage.
Clean paper, cardboard, cans, bottles, jars, and accepted containers belong in recycling.
Do not treat a scheduled appointment as permission to empty an entire property at the curb.
Electronic and hazardous waste are outside the standard bulky collection.

How much can I place out in San Bernardino?
The residential allowance provides two collections per calendar year with up to five approved items at each appointment. Material not disclosed when scheduling may be left behind, so count and describe every piece before the request is finalized.
Can electronics go with San Bernardino bulky trash?
Do not assume they can. Electronic waste and household hazardous waste are outside the ordinary bulky pickup described on this page. Use the City's current special waste instructions for televisions, computers, batteries, paint, oil, or chemicals.
