Huntington Beach bulky item allowance
Schedule up to ten items for the regular collection day
Huntington Beach households with weekly cart service may request four bulky item collections each year. Republic Services uses the property's normal collection day, but the resident must call ahead and identify the items before putting them out.
The allowance applies to residents receiving the qualifying weekly cart service.
Count furniture, appliances, mattresses, bags, and prepared bundles separately.
Call Republic Services before the regular collection day to reserve service.
Ask about questionable material when making the appointment.
Collection day preparation
Keep carts and approved bulky items clear of obstacles
Place confirmed material for the special truck by 7 a.m. on the regular service day. Furniture, appliances, mattresses, limited bagged trash, and properly prepared palm fronds can qualify. Televisions, pallets, construction debris, paint, oil, batteries, tires, propane tanks, and other hazardous material do not belong in this collection.
Use the weekday Republic Services confirms for the address.
Keep carts away from vehicles and other obstacles so the collection arm can reach them.
Do not use the bulky appointment for loose household trash.
Bundle the material and stay within both published limits.
Common questions

When does Huntington Beach collect the bulky items?
The special truck is scheduled for the property's regular collection day. Put only the confirmed material at the curb and have it ready by 7 a.m. The bulky truck and cart trucks may arrive at different times.
Can televisions or construction material use the appointment?
