Weekly trash and recycling
Find your Fresno cart collection day
Gray trash, blue recycling, and green organics are collected on the same weekday. This is your regular cart service, not your annual Operation Cleanup date.
Gray, blue, and green carts follow the same assigned collection day.
Carts may be placed out after 6 p.m. on the prior evening.
Face the handles toward your home, close the lids, and keep carts clear of obstacles.
Remove the emptied carts from the curb by 8 p.m.

Fresno Operation Cleanup
When to put out your Operation Cleanup piles
Operation Cleanup is separate from weekly cart collection. Check your address again as the estimated date approaches, then prepare one pile for yard material and one for household items.
The address lookup provides the current estimated collection date.
This is the total for both piles, roughly eight by four by four feet each.
Do not place material before the published one week window.
Place the piles in the street at the curb, not in an alley.
Fresno pile preparation
Separate yard material from household junk
Keep yard material and household items in separate piles so they can be sorted for recycling. Leave water meters, mailboxes, fire hydrants, and parked vehicles clear.
Cut branches and trunks to the published maximum length.
Sinks, toilets, and water heaters must be empty before collection.
Prepare sharp or breakable surfaces to protect collection crews.
Break cabinets down before placing them in the household pile.
